Post Content: Volunteer Call: Program Facilitator Assistant Do you enjoy helping people learn, connect, and share what they know? The Alex Community Food Centre is looking for a Program Facilitator Assistant to support welcoming, educational programs in Greater Forest Lawn. Working alongside a CFC facilitator, you’ll help welcome participants, support group conversations, answer questions, assist with program setup and technology, and lend a hand in the kitchen when needed. We’re looking for someone who communicates respectfully, enjoys working with others, and wants to strengthen community connections. Experience with educational programs, kitchens, or gardens is an asset, but isn’t required. Greater Forest Lawn residents and people who have participated in Alex CFC programs are especially encouraged to apply. Location: The Alex Community Food Centre, 4920 17 Ave SE, Calgary Commitment: One three-hour session per week for eight weeks. The day and time depend on the program and will be shared in advance. We ask volunteers to commit to the full program. This role involves extended periods of standing and walking, with occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, and carrying items up to 20 lbs.
