Art Hide and Seek
Join us for a chance to win student artwork! During the month of November, find tokens of our yellow buddy Guy, to win artwork. New tokens will be hidden every week from Nov 1st until Nov 17th! Take tokens to the Students Association Office (located in the Main Mall) to earn your prize! Prizes consist of artwork made by AUArts students! *Physical token required for the exchange, no pictures will be accepted*

Megaphone Series: Alice Lam
Building Community and Finding Purpose Through Volunteering
Join us for our third Megaphone Speaker Series talk with local organizer Alice Lam!
Alice Lam is the founder of vollyapp.com - a website that links you to volunteer gigs, Tigerstedt and Friends - a co-op retail store - and co-founder the Calgary Community Fridge, Good Neighbour and Good Thrift. She activates the Historic Firehall every year with art classes, music, events and markets, and is on the board of the Creative Aging Calgary Society - a registered charity that hires artists to do art projects with seniors.
Alice is passionate about making our city a more inclusive space for everyone and will share some of her projects and speak on the importance of building local communities and providing accessible resources, leisure, and opportunities for the people of Mohkinstsis (Calgary).
Come and learn more about some of the city’s best mutual aid initiatives and how to get involved in community

AUArts Gallery Crawl
WHAT: AUArts Gallery Crawl is a campus-wide bi-annual event that was dreamt up by your Technician Team to encourage community building, art production, Gallery curation and more. Art? Yes. Music? Yes. Beverages? Yes. Fun? YES.
WHEN: Our 2nd Gallery Crawl will be Friday, March 10th, 2023, from 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM. The bar will be open from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
WHERE: AUArts Campus. All five floors are on the building's design and fine art sides. All student-run galleries, institutional galleries and pop-up spaces are to be activated.
WHO: Everyone! This is a chance for students to showcase their work to the internal AUArts community and the Calgary community at large! All staff, students and faculty are encouraged to come out on March 10th and bring your friends.

Each Workshop Watch Party will stream 2-3 professional development workshops which cover important topics like pricing, copyright, photographing artwork, and more. These are useful for anyone interested in entrepreneurship!

Kick-start your reading week with drag excellence!! Drag Ball Social is a sparkly bingo and karaoke night with drag performances by AUArts students. Show up in Drag (all drag is valid!) and receive a ticket for some fabulous door prizes! Sponsored by Lit Cosmetics.

🗣 CLUBS CALL FOR SUBS! The Groups and Galleries program: Community Grants is now accepting submissions!
Apply for funding through our Community Grants program! A group, club or gallery is any @albertauarts student-lead initiative operated by 2 or more students that strive to engage, connect and enable student community-building!
If you have an idea for a group, club, gallery, special project, or event apply! We want to hear your ideas and fun new clubs!
There is no deadline, these are rolling submissions, however, it is first-come first-served due to capped funding.

AUArts Gallery Crawl
Join us as we open our doors to the public to the many student-run galleries and pop-ups on display for the first bi-annual AUArts Gallery Crawl.
There will be music, beer and a whack of art! Bring your friends and get weird with us! Admission is free, so mark your calendars, and we will see you there.
The Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG) will also be open featuring Heather Hart's exhibition, Northern Oracle.
