About the Campaign
Calgary’s next municipal election is Monday, October 20, 2025. Dan Olesen is running as an independent for Ward 1 with a campaign focused on authentic leadership, practical solutions, and amplifying community voices—seniors,
students, small business owners, and everyday Calgarians. We’re seeking 3–4 students or emerging professionals (digital media, marketing, business development, or communications) for a short, high-impact volunteer placement (September–October 2025). Build your portfolio while contributing to a live civic campaign!
Focus Areas & Roles
Content Strategy: Plan weekly themes, align posts with policy priorities, keep brand voice consistent.
Social Media Production: Create Reels, TikToks, Instagram posts, and YouTube Shorts for events, stories, and #HeroesInspiringHeroes.
Community Engagement & Storytelling: Attend events, capture resident voices, turn them into concise,
shareable stories.

and play to your strengths
Timeline: September–October 2025 (hybrid)
Hours: Flexible, remote + in-person as available (even a few
hours/week helps)
