The Position
AUArts SA is currently accepting applications for the position of Bartender. Reporting to the Services Coordinator & Services Assistant, the Bartender is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons at AUArts events. Bartenders are casual employees who select their own shifts based on bar bookings released by the Services Assistant. Shifts are often 3-5 hours in length during the evenings between 4-9pm at AUArts.
Employment Type: Casual
Contract Length: September 20246- June 2027
Hourly Pay Range: $15 - $17 per hour plus tips
Responsibilities
· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at AUArts events
· Process sales through POS
· Complete cash reconciliation at start and end of shift
· Maintain bar cleanliness
· Communicate with Services Assistant regarding status of bar and inventory as needed
Requirements
· Must have valid ProServe upon hiring
· Previous customer service experience
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Evening flexibility
· Previous service experience considered an asset
· Square POS experience considered an asset
· Bartenders are required to have the Square Shifts app on their phone upon hiring
