The institute organizes an annual jewelry design competition, open to creators, designers, and the general public. The competition serves as a platform for unleashing creative energy while keeping the industry vibrant and inspired. In 2025, the institute is hosting the GIT’s 19th World Jewelry Design Awards 2025, inviting global participation to inspire Thai designers, broaden their perspectives, and encourage exchange of ideas and insights between Thai and international designers.
This year’s theme is “Future Elegance: Timeless Designs for Tomorrow” This theme invites the creation of jewelry that seamlessly blends timeless elegance with a visionary outlook toward the future. Emphasizing the reinterpretation of cultural roots, the creative selection of materials, and the integration of contemporary technologies, each design is envisioned as a sustainable expression of modern identity. More than mere aesthetic beauty, these pieces embody ideas, beliefs, and aspirations—crafted to become enduring “heritage of tomorrow” with grace and power.
Total prize value: USD 7,000
Top 4 finalists will have their designs produced into real jewelry and showcased at an exhibition and mini fashion show in Bangkok.
