Kick-start your design career with hands-on learning, guided by seasoned professionals. As a Junior Graphic Designer with The Glencoe Club, you will develop your skills across a wide range of tasks in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with senior designers who value mentorship, innovation, and continuous improvement. As part of our in-house Creative Studio, you’ll be joining a collaborative, high-energy team known for delivering ‘WOW’ experiences across both Clubs. The Junior Graphic Designer will provide design, creative, media and production support as part of the in-house Creative Studio team for The Glencoe Club and The Glencoe Golf & Country Club. This role assists and supports both Clubs on a diverse range of projects including corporate and marketing collateral, promotional and events materials, large format graphics and displays, website updates, and social media posts.
Responsibilities:
• Design and assist with various creative print and digital projects, from inception to production including posters, menus, brochures, pamphlets, signage, digital collateral, logos, manuals, and facility displays.
• Providing production support to the Creative team including re-sizing and re-purposing media assets for various communication channels.
• Leverage and uphold The Glencoe brand guidelines in all design work.
• Ensure all creative content is well-edited, accurate, and aligned with our style.
• Support the creation of physical facility displays and décor; hands-on creative production experience (cutting, mounting, assembling displays).
• Work efficiently under multiple deadlines, demonstrating strong organization and prioritization skills.
Qualifications:
• Completed post-secondary education in Communication Arts, Graphic Arts, New Media or related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in design or related field/industry (graphic design, print production, digital arts, etc.).
• A strong, visually compelling design portfolio showcasing your work (available to view).
• Experience working with MAC OS and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Foundational understanding of color theory, typography and principles of design.
• Highly organized, precise (keen attention to detail), thorough, competent and punctual, with a creative mindset.
• Demonstrated experience as a team player, leveraging passion, integrity and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage a diverse workload and balance competing priorities.
• Experience or passion for crafting, model-making, or hands-on fabrication is an asset; familiarity with foamcore or coroplast is a bonus (training provided).
• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain design concepts and best practices
• Previous experience and skills related to Photography is an asset.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time, salaried position that reports to the Director of Creative, and is located on-site. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts on occasion including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays based on the nature of the business.
