Job description:

This is a temporary position funded by Canada Summer Jobs, 35 hours a week for 16 weeks, that will be performed onsite at Arch Enterprises.

Organization: Arch Enterprises – a day program service provider supporting adults with developmental disabilities located in Edmonton.

Arch Enterprises is currently recruiting Community Service worker- Artist In residence.

Position Overview: Arch Enterprises is seeking an individual educated in visual arts and is interested in teaching small groups of adults with developmental disabilities. In this position the candidate will work alongside program staff to help develop a theme with the clients, support them in creating the art and put on an art show event with the clients at the end of the program.

Position Requirements:

Hold discussions with clients and support them in developing a theme
Help to develop a consistent theme across the sessions
Support the clients with the creation and displaying of artwork
Organize an art show event at the end of the project
Qualifications:

Post Secondary education in an Arts field is required. Can be currently enrolled or completed.
Drivers license and reliable transportation.
