Petition Regarding Membership with the CFS

Currently, the AUArts SA pays $10, 000 to the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS), which lobbies for student issues on a national level. However, we are looking at the possibility of being able to direct this funding elsewhere, as we are also a member of the Alberta Student’s Executive Council (ASEC). ASEC lobbies for student issues on a provincial level and is more relevant to issues present in post-secondary institutions in the prairies.

In order to redirect these funds AUArts SA must hold a vote for it’s members (AUArts students) via petition. CFS requires all information listed on the petition to allow AUArts SA to conduct a referendum regarding our membership with them.
