Post Content: The Social Collective is a non-profit organization (NPO) whose mission is to develop and support community and social initiatives that address the needs of student communities in postsecondary institutions. The initiatives supported or developed by the Social Collective aim to take concrete action to reduce the impact of issues and problems encountered by student communities in Turtle Island / Canada. The actions taken by the Social Collective can be deployed in postsecondary settings or, more generally, in the various living environments of college and university student communities as well as in the spheres of society where young people thrive and evolve.
The Social Collective is looking to recruit field interns for the 2024 summer semester. Under the guidance of the project managers, the interns must demonstrate great versatility and excellent organizational skills to be able to support the realization of various projects dealing mainly with the prevention of sexual violence in bars and festive events and spaces.
This is a full-time position on a basis of 35 hours per week, from May 13 to August 30, 2024. The work is carried out in hybrid mode, with regular travel (sometimes over several days) across the province and/or Canada, depending on project needs.

Main Responsibilities
Carry out visits to bars and similar establishments potentially interested in participating in the Order an Angelot accreditation protocol
In collaboration with the team, ensure regular email and telephone follow-ups with current and prospective bars participating in the Order an Angelot accreditation program
Ensure a site presence at certain festivals that have implemented the Order an Angelot accreditation protocol
Contribute to specific projects, which may include research, document creation, and participation in the development of prevention and awareness campaigns and activities
Contribute to the implementation of the trainings offered by the Social Collective to its various partners

Qualification Requirements
Be enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program. One to two years' experience in a relevant field will be considered equivalent.
Be aged 30 or under at the time of starting the internship.
Be legally authorized to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number)
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee

Skill Requirements
Good knowledge of English and French (both spoken and written)
Valid driver's license
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with changing priorities
High awareness of social issues and their impact on young people aged 18 to 35

Working Conditions
Full-time position (35 hours a week), for a period of 16 weeks (from May 13 to August 30, 2024)
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to work evenings and weekends, depending on project needs
Work in hybrid mode, with regular travel (sometimes over several days) across the province and/or Canada, depending on project needs

Wage
The salary is 20$ per hour.
Coverage of cell phone and Internet costs up to $100 per month
