ACADSA_LogoFinal

Welcome ACADSA Students!

Another year of studies at the Alberta College of Art + Design begins! This is a year of growth, as ACAD garnered it’s University Status in Spring of 2018. Stay tuned this Fall for information on campus as to what this growth entails, it’s a very exciting time! Those of you who are first year students, we are delighted to have you on campus. My name is Simone Saunders and I am the Director of Leadership & Governance for the ACAD Students’ Association (ACADSA).

ACADSA is an organization comprised almost entirely of current students, funded by students, and operating for students. We advocate on behalf of students to our ACAD admin and faculty in various councils and committees. We provide programs and services for students to support you during your time here. We famously run the bi-annual ACADSA Show and Sale and Hear/d Student Artist Residency which offer students professional development opportunities! We also provide various wellness and community building events, gallery opportunities, student group facilitation, and your health and dental coverage. This summer, ACADSA’s Executive Committee has been working diligently on a strategic plan for the upcoming year to ensure that you are creating on a safe and lively campus. Our By-Elections are coming up! We have many positions we are still looking to fill within our Student Leadership Committee (SLC). If you are interested in holding a position to represent your department, please check out the available positions on our website:  www.acadsa.ca/elections/.
